Argentine Neighborhood Empowerment Financing

ANDA Board Memebers at ANEF House
The ANDA Executive Director, Ann Brandau Murguia, and the Board of Directors Henry Sandate,
Steve Knight, Sally Murguia, Mario Escobar, and John “Pete” Peterson and the buyers of the home
through ANDA's Argentine's Neighborhood Empowerment Financing “ANEF” program,
Gonzalo and Jennifer Rivera and their children.

This program is a home lease-to-purchase program which enables the buyer to purchase an affordable home with the financing through ANDA. The ANEF program raises funds to build new residential homes with small debt commitments.  This program provides lease-to-purchase opportunities for quality, affordable, energy efficient single-family housing.  The application process is managed with oversight from the Board of Directors.  Minor home repairs are written into the lease for up to 5 years.

The 5th home offered in this program was this new, energy efficient 4 bedroom home, completed in September 2010.

New House 2010

Solar equipment and upgraded insulation are built into the homes to increase the energy efficiency and affordability.

New House plans have been designed to meet Energy Star Certification and construction started on the first two single family homes in the fall of 2010.  Brotherhood Bank and Trust has partnered with ANDA in the construction of these homes.  Bank employees will volunteer to help with the preparation process and the landscaping.

ANDA is preparing to proceed with the building of more Energy Star Certified homes with a Special Project Grant from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.  The homes built with these funds will be available in the ANEF program.
